Question by froggy: What is wrong with having a huge, nationwide list of insurance companies which all individuals, all businesses?
large and small can buy from and cannot be denied nor dropped? That way people can work where they want instead of because of insurance issues. It seems that repubs may have mentioned this, but they need to add no denying nor dropping people. Let’s do this and call it a day!
Or why not churches to be part of a large pool, or small businesses being able to be part of a large pool. It is like they want the large companies to have all the power regarding access to health insurance. Why should that be the case?

competition across state lines is a good start. The only ones against it are insurance companies and the politicians they control

How exactly does this allow government to take over the health care industry?

Agreed, but that’s too easy, so The Right won’t let it through…..besides, no $ $ $ in it either.

Because this would cause competition and lower insurance rates. Liberals don’t like this idea because they couldn’t complain about the evil, greedy insurance companies any longer.
Massive Mann…….has been sucking down too many steroids.

To have the size pool the describe, they must first allow interstate commerce of insurance carriers. Both ideas plus capping the malpractice claims thus lowering insurance costs to Doctors. All three ideas were rejected out of hand by the Dems. They say the Republicans have no healthcare plan, but they have been ignored just like the American people. The plan to insure people with a preexisting conditions and not allowing insurance companies to cap the amount paid in case of catistrophic illness was also dismissed.
