Question by nekroghoulie: What kind of college classes is a must to work in administration/call center type of jobs? ?
I’m not confident I know what I’m doing in that field but it is said to be an easy job that most of the time pays well. I believe I can’t speak professionally, nor know how to handle taking care of calls and working on computer programs such as powerpoint or exel. What kind of college classes are a must or would help tons to master my job correctly?

I have researched the H1B and L1 visa to bring an indian resident here to the US to work for my company. It is a company that it is the travel meta search work space. he has worked for a BPO in travel in India for the past 4 years. Is there a different way to bring someone from there to the US that isnt so difficult and quicker?

Well the best thing to do will be to tell them upfront about it. however if you cant do that, then there is no other option but as to prove them how good you are at the job and then put your demands at them..

just an advise, maybe you can go to the agency in your place & try to apply for any job offer that you know even it’s not your actual line just to be your steping stone to enter in mainland US. I think that’s the better things you can do for now before it’s to late.

i worked on two projects. I used to take the requirements from the clients, then preparing the project documents analysing the screens and explaining them to the programmers. I use to support them by explaining the project requirements.previously i worked as a business analyst in software company.

To be honest, you are probably not going to find a job working from home. Any opportunities you find that requires a start up fee or money up front is a scam, don’t get sucked in!!
I encourage you to immediately put these jobs out of your mind. Here are some of my tips when looking for a job….
Networking – Register at your local Unemployment Office (you don’t need to be on unemployment to register for their assistance). They often will have networking groups on a regular basis. They also are a good source for the jobs that never show up in the paper or online.
Check your local paper — In many cases the paper’s classified are now online.
Search Smart Online — If you don’t have a lot of time, spend most of your time at sites that aggregate the job feeds from several job search engines. Prominently these include indeed.com and thingamajob.com.
Organization — I use a free online application that allows you to track your ads, jobs you apply for, send or print mail merged correspondence, and track your job search history. This site is jobsearchlog.com

The pay for the customer service job is 11 an hour, the pay for the corrections officer job is 31,000 in Wyoming. I heard the cost of living is kind of high there. What’s better?

Knowing your parameters is winning half the answer. The other half would be knowing your calling. Both Customer Service and Corrections Officer require both patience and passion. I am not an American so I could not relate to you about the cost of living. However, I am in the business of executive search in Singapore covering global markets across borders. Most of my successful senior level candidates follow their passion and the rest would come in place at its own time and place.

I am looking for a way to earn extra income without out having to travel outside of my home after my regular day job. Does anyone know of a legitmate online job? There are so many websites that say you get a listing of companies that want home workers, but they charge a fee. I feel if they are charging then it is not legitmate. I am trying to find companies that need at homeworkers without charging a fee.
