I’m completing my graduation in electronics and communication engg from Shivaji University, kolhapur,which is recognised as an B GRADE university. I hav scored distinction in all the semesters i hav attempted so far..but is it true that even after scoring good marks, n havin a fairly good knowledge you are not given good jobs just because you are from a low grade university??especially wen the job applicants u r competing with are frm good universities eg. university of pune,mumbai etc..

If you don’t have outside experience, i.e. internships and/or jobs, then your school is all they have based to go off in assuming your training and experience.

Most experts would say that doing your MBA from the IIMs in India is the best choice to ensure that you are a globally-wanted manager. however, we all know that entering the IIMs in India is not the easiest thing. It is better to ensure that you have the percentage to secure a seat in the regional or state management colleges since these are held more valuable by foreign employers than the private management colleges.

I have no idea what a BPO provider is…but every University Website has a Human Resources/Employment section posts current job listings (been looking for adjunct faculty positions myself) – however, if you are a contractor, that may be another story. Look to see if the University has a contracting office and start there… Good luck!

I have 3 Pune university degrees..
1. Bsc (comp. Sc.)
2. Msc (comp. Sc.)
3. MBA (Marketing)
with 8 months exp. as a s/w engg.
I plan to study furthermore abroad (out of India)…which would be MS/MBA or PhD degree from a foreign university which is internationally recognized.
I want to know which are such university that can apply for and which should b d course I could go for…I m looking for a internationally recognized program and univ.

with your degrees u can go anywhere.
usa is still best place.
canada / NZ is easy to enter.
aussie are getting strict about asians.
if u r brave do your phd in beijing – they have special scholarships for foreigners. degrees are recognized.

(I have heard u need to have a 4 year graduation degree to do post graduation from usa whereas bba is a 3 year degree. So thats the confusion.Help me out !! Thanks )

Most MBA programs also want students with 2-4 years work experience after the bachelors degree, but some take students directly out of college. I want to pursue MS in Computer Science or MS Information Networking. My GRE scores are 1270 (790 Quantitative and 480 verbal) after second attempt and 1100 (770 + 330) in first attempt. Toefl 103. My GPA is 3.4/4.0. I have completed BE Computer Engg from PUNE University, and I want to apply for MS in USA in some decent universities, please suggest me some universities for the same with some financial aid. Even if financial aid is not possible then also I would like to apply to good universities.

With your grades you may apply to: CA Institute of Technology, Michigan University & UTA Austin. All are very good schools but I would recommend for UTA – Austin for better chance of financial aids. Log on to:
