Being in a small town wid no scope, i wud lik to work online.Does working online really pays?

I’ve graduated from Pune and had even started working there.Due to some family requirements I had to shift my roots to my hometown which is a small city wid very restricted scope.I am the only child of my parents and am worried about their future.I wanna move out and earn and they do not let me do so.So I’ve decided to work online.I have a good vocablury and m affluent wid english language.I’ve also done a proffessional course in multimedia and am good at working with photoshop and coraldraw.I wanna work online but do not know any trustworthy clients or sites who wud pay me for my work duly as this is the first time I’ve decided to work from home.M confused whether it’s benificial for me or not and which sites to opt for without any risk to my privacy.Please help me with this as my skills may get obsolete without work.Hoping for a helpful response……
