I have worked temp jobs from the year 2000 to currently. And I am having a very hard time finding something I really like which is office work. Temp agency will not find me work where I can use my computer skills, they always put me in the customer service jobs. And permanent employers act like they dont want to hire me because of no stable work history. What can I do? I’ve tried everthing. From using famous coverletter and making my resume look professional. The Business School I went to helped me with the coverletters and resume set up. Now what can I do to find my Ideal job in life? I need some good advice on what to do next.

Keep trying. Really, that is the only advice I can offer you. I had the same problem, but mine was more because I bounced around from job to job due to being unhappy with them. Now, I am a office manager of a small company. I’ve been here a year, and I absolutely love it. I can come to work how I want, I’m allowed to be myself, and it’s just a great place to work.

Alright so this is the deal, I work at a call center for Qwest. I work in a department where we call customers to review their orders and make sure they are correct, sounds easy but it’s tedious and nerve racking for me, and I dread coming into work. The thing is I get paid $ 9.50/hour and get 40 hours a week, sometimes more if overtime is available. Am I crazy to want to quit this job and go back to Albertsons as a cashier (still work there) and make $ 9.00/hr and barely get 40 hours a week, probably less because it’s the post Christmas season? The upside is that Albertsons is a union job, and when I hit my 1000 hours I will get a raise that will bring my pay up to $ 10.50/hr, should be in about 2 or 3 months, depending on what kind of hours I get. I want people’s opinions on this, especially people who have worked in a call center, preferably outbound, because I’m kind of at a loss of what to do right now. Any and all input would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.

i recently quit a job i made bank at, but hated, and got a job making considerably less with less hours…but i love my new job.
and i have more time for other things now…and i am less stressed out and irritable.
so i say you do what you want, but it is never worth the money to work a job you dread going to.

Im want to start a domestic call center 25 seater. where my friends and I will be giving their best as per our field as we all have well experience in bpo. is this the right time go for a business ? how to approach the clients ? can we find them in recession time ? will they be even responding to a new call center ?

A call center is a good idea. But this job and what you have to do requires great experience and hard work! If you think you are not ready or you are confused. Ask help from God! Pray!
It’s your decision because it’s your business. Remember you are you so you have to make the right decision so you won’t make a lot of mistakes. Of course you have to approach the clients very warmingly. You have to greet them, even smile haha if you could and you should use polite words.(which i think you already know.)
Of course, you have a new call center. So it is still unknown. It’s like a new resturant that just opened. So it won’t really be visited by a lot of people. So you have to send flyers, posters and etc. And invite your close friends or even relatives to be there clients or to help you spread the word. Hope you use my tips and suggestions!!

The selling agent for the home I made an offer on says: The BPO is in line with my offer. What’s a BPO? She also says: I’m in the final stages of the Short Sale. What does this mean? (Sounds like a good thing). It’s been more than 30 days since I made my offer of $ 3,000 more than the listing price. I don’t know who the lendor is; but how much longer could this approval process take? Any helpful advices are greatly appreciated. Thanks!
I just want this home so much. My realtor says he doesn’t have a doubt in his mind that I won’t get it; as he ran the comps he’s noticed there isn’t any competition in the surrounding areas. The home is listed at $ 90,000 and my offer is $ 93,000.

How long do short sales normally take when they are in the final stage and just waiting to get final approval?

BPO = Broker’s Price Option = basically it is an estimate of the property’s value.
Short Sale = the lender is willing to sell the property for less than what is owed on the original loan. You aren’t responsible for making up the difference between your offer and the remaining balance. If there is a second mortgage on the property, the second mortgage lender also has to agree to the short sale.
A short sale is one step before a full foreclosure action is taken on the property. Foreclosure is the same as a repossession. They just don’t tow the house away unless it is on wheels (mostly occurs in the deep south).
