Question by Rachael: I am filling out a job application and it ask why do you want to work in a sales oriented environment?
I am filling out a job application for Dollar General Market and the application ask why do you want to work in a sales oriented environment? I am thinking about writing because I like to work with people and keep the smiling. Does that answer sound to generic? The application also ask what customer service experience do I have. I have worked in retail before. Should I write that down or come up with something more original?

You can say you love people and helping them and meeting new people and enjoy the challenge of dealing with the difficult ones and disarming them
Say you have worked in other customer service oriented positions before and you enjoyed it. Retail is customer service, also if you have ever voluteered before working with people or if you were involved with bake sales, garage sales etc. It is ok to list where you have worked.

I am about to lose my job in collections where I have 100% satisfaction surveys due to the work moving. My strength is helping the customer by listening, explaining and understanding, my downfall is I enjoy talking so my call time is something I actually have to work at. I prefer working over the phone and not face to face but when you are losing your job because they are downsizing and moving the work you just gotta move on. I am looking in Sacramento Californi but I live in Rancho. any suggestions?

For all your computer needs you should purchase from www.newegg.com. As for your software I have Windows XP Professional for Small Businesses and it worked wonderful. You get all of the Microsoft publications like Word, Excel, Publisher, Outlook, and Powerpoint. Also if you’re looking for managing your companies assets, billing, invoices, and what not the perfect program would be Quick Books.

but they are such miserable people that they will complain about a quality product or service just to try to get something for nothing? What is your worst customer experience? (It’s time to vent go ahead because you know you will be dealing with some miserable human today
