at home customer service job opportunities?

Question by Worshipful Heart: at home customer service job opportunities?
I am looking for a work at home opportunity- something like 1-800-Flowers offers (they re not hiring in my state right now)

I am NOT interested in any multilevel marketing schemes or something where I have to “buy a kit” or invest in the business.

I would like to apply with a company that offers a legitimate work at home opportunity, such as in taking and processing orders or taking customer service calls .

I dont know what companies besides 1-800-flowers offers this so any suggestions would be greatly appreciated

West at Home http://www.westathome.com- is order processing, however they don’t hire in every state (you will have to apply then they will let you know if they hire in your state).

LiveOps http://www.liveops.com-is order processing, however they do charge a $ 30 background check fee (they are legitimate, I have worked for them in the past but at time I worked for them they didn’t charge a this fee).

Working Solutions http://workingsolutions.com -customer service, reservations, order processing etc. however, there could be a long wait depending on your skills.

Alpine Access http://www.alpineaccess.com -customer service, reservations, order processing- this company only hires in certain states (states are listed on their website).

If you look at my profile, there is link to my website that has other companies listed also (it is free).

Hope this helps!

I am an English Lit graduate.

I now work in postal services.

Sorry, I know this isn’t what you are looking for. Unfortunately, apart from teaching, journalism (very competitive & bitchy) or going on to a PhD, there are not many career opportunities for English graduates.

Life Insurance Occupations: Career Opportunities in the Industry (1948)

thefilmarchive.org DVD: www.amazon.com Life insurance is a contract between the policy holder and the insurer, where the insurer promises to pay a designated beneficiary a sum of money (the “benefits”) upon the death of the insured person. Depending on the contract, other events such as terminal illness or critical illness may also trigger payment. In return, the policy holder agrees to pay a stipulated amount (the “premium”) at regular intervals or in lump sums. In some countries, death expenses such as funerals are included in the premium; however, in the United States the predominant form simply specifies a lump sum to be paid on the insured’s demise. The value for the policy owner is the ‘peace of mind’ in knowing that the death of the insured person will not result in financial hardship. Life policies are legal contracts and the terms of the contract describe the limitations of the insured events. Specific exclusions are often written into the contract to limit the liability of the insurer; common examples are claims relating to suicide, fraud, war, riot and civil commotion. Life-based contracts tend to fall into two major categories: Protection policies — designed to provide a benefit in the event of specified event, typically a lump sum payment. A common form of this design is term insurance. Investment policies — where the main objective is to facilitate the growth of capital by regular or single premiums. Common forms (in the US) are whole life, universal life

Answer by N K
I would suggest you should save your resume in job portals at least every 2 or 3 days because most of the HRs scan through the resumes that were updated very recently.

Best way to find a job is through employee referral. Please contact your college mates or friends or relatives who are working in good companies like Oracle, TCS, Wipro, Accenture, IBM and HP etc., ask them to forward your resume to their company HR or upload your resume in their company job portal. Believe me, employee referrals usually provides good response and companies prefer employee referrals than candidates who come from other channels.

Most of your friends working in bigger companies would be eager to refer you because they get referral bonus if you get selected.

In the mean time start preparing for interviews, I would suggest you go through Testing FAQs available at http://softwaretesting-faq.blogspot.com

I think you should post your resume on a job site than posting a question on Y/A, people on Y/A are not looking for employing some one. And since you have 2 years of experience so it should not be very difficult for you to get a job provided you put your efforts in right places and Y/A is not a right place for that.

There are always opportunities in Finance. Marketing is fine, but you often get stuck doing unrelated jobs for a while before you get a real marketing position. MBA’s in Finance with the best grades can always find relevant work in their field via hedge funds, banks, securities firms, as well as corporate offices of retail stores, movie studios, drug companies — pretty much EVERY can use a Financial Analyst or Advisor, and will pay you a lot to take the job.
