Question by : How do I explain to my manager that I have a severe mentrual problem and need to use the bathroom often?
I work in a call center and we have a schedule we’re supposed to stick to religiously or we get in trouble. I have a serious menstrual issue (I menstruate for a lot longer than is normal and very heavy with excessively painful cramps) and I need to go to the bathroom often, which is not allowed based on my work schedule. How do I explain this to my manager without being too graphic? I’m making a doctor’s appointment, so please don’t patronize me and tell me to go to the doctor. I just need a tactful way to get my boss off my back.

Question by IAskUAnswer: Does experience in Customer Service often equate to a job in sales?
I have a business degree, and lots of experience, but the most people to contact me about resumes online are people who want someone to sell stuff. I just wondered if the customer service experience is what draws them in.

Why do companies often change the ingredients in their products/make their products taste different?

Question by HeyTherePony: Why do companies often change the ingredients in their products/make their products taste different?
My brother and I used to love Velveeta mac & cheese. One day we made it and it tasted way different, and the noodles were grey. So we switched to Kraft. We were eating that for a while, and we liked it until recently, when I noticed it tasted different too.
Why do companies do this, besides to make the product cheaper? And why don’t they put on the box that it’s a “new recipe” or something?

sometimes they do this to cut costs and they won’t advertise this on the package
other times it’s to keep the interest of the consumer by creating ‘new and improved’ versions
Kraft mac and cheese recently changed its recipe and my family hates it

d. Evaluate the price of upgrading to the new release of the software.

1a. Upgrading is generally put off as long as possible, as a new version means additional costs. It’s not just the cost of the software itself. New software may have different dependencies, forcing upgrades of other software and hardware. There’s going to be training costs and a drop in productivity as your people get up to speed on the new software. A lot of times, if the existing system still works, a company’s brass might decide to work around some issues rather than upgrade to a newer version where the problem’s fixed — “the devil you know…”
2c. A volume license is cheaper per licensed machine than buying several copies individually. However, if those 5 copies have to be spread out to different departments, individual licensing may be chosen instead for internal accounting reasons. A company’s IT department should probably consider all options prior to an upgrade and consider all relevant factors.

My father often says that he is connected with GOD or he himself is GOD?
Posted by PuneStuff in Pune Stuff Questions & Answers on April 9th, 2010
My father often says that he is connected with GOD, he can see some circles around there photographs etc. He has such kind of illusion across the life. He has taken bhang throughout his life, and had serious mental illusion in past.My father is 63 years old, and taking medication for diluting clots in brain nerves.
For example if he is in a city for example Pune, then he will start saying that the pleasant weather is there , because he is in the ciry, and he believes he has power to change weather like if he will say that there will be no rain for two days then it should not be, many of the times he himself realized that this is not true, but this keeps on happening. I want to know how we should react or act on his statements which are not realistic, and how to keep things going good ? My mother tried whole life to explain that all this is illusion, is it the right approach going further?
Any suggestion will help..
Why do Indian English Media often behave as if everyone were living in cities without any poverty in India ?
Posted by PuneStuff in Pune Stuff Questions & Answers on March 27th, 2010
Often Indian English Media surveys a few thousand teenagers or slightly older people from big cities like CALCUTTA MUMBAI CHENNAI DELHI HYDERABAD AHMEDABAD BANGALORE PUNE and print their opinions stating them as today’s youngsters’ opinions. Leave rural people or poor people they won’t consider youngsters from PATNA DHANBAD RANCHI JAIPUR LUCKNOW BOKARO BHUBANESWAR CUTTACK DEHRADUN TRIVENDRAM CHANDIGARH AMRITSAR ALLAHABAD INDORE GWALIOR BARODA SURAT BIKANER UDAIPUR NOIDA GURGAON etc. How can somebody interview a few people from just 8 cities and assume that the rest of the nation thinks likewise ? Why this elitist mentality ?
