Question by Eyad: What major would be to manage gaming companies?
I’m looking to enter college in a major that involves managing gaming companies, by managing I mean having developers under me, supervising, giving ideas, etc. Would it be IT : System engineering or what? Thanks in advance.
I apologize Casey Y, but for some reason I can’t reply.
“Upper management is going to be filled with business people with a background in software design ”
That’s exactly what I want.

Do you want to be upper management or just a supervisor? Upper management is going to be filled with business people with a background in software design (maybe gaming, but not necessary). Supervisors are going to programmers with maybe a little business training.
If you can double major in business (pick a discipline, almost all will work for you) and computer science with a focus on gaming, you’ll have the best chance.

Question by ilovecoach: What sort of jobs would be suitable for a recent Economics major?
I’m graduating from the University of Texas this spring and it’s time to start looking for jobs! What sort of jobs would be suitable for a recent undergraduate student with an Economics major, Spanish minor and certificate in Business Administration. I’ve also worked as a waitress before (customer service experience) and in an insurance company during light paper work. I sort of have my eyes set on banking (but what positions?), real estate analyst, and human resources (most need experience though…). Please help!

Question by Tina: What job positions/titles are available in the non profit sector for a Sociology major?
I am a recent college graduate with a degree in Sociology. I want to work for some sort of community/ social service non profit organization, but I am not sure what positions I should be looking for. The only work experience I have is customer service, retail, and some retail management. I want to use my knowledge of people and social problems in my new career. Does anyone have any advise as to what job titles may suit me?

Q&A: What major car companies have their own finance companies?

Question by PINKY: What major car companies have their own finance companies?
Some major car companies use banks for financing which sucks because banks are so difficult to finance people.
Best answer:
Answer by Other Guy
Most major car companies have their own finance companies. GMAC used to be GM’s credit company until they sold it. However, they recently announced the acquisition of another finance company just for that purpose. I’m thinking through the major ones and I know I have seen credit arms for Ford, Chrysler, Toyota and Honda within the last 12 months. A car company will most likely default to their own finance companies so if a major car company is trying to get you financing, and they ended up at a bank, it probably means you were turned down by their own financing. Also, if you go to a dealer and try to buy a used car, that will most likely be bank financing because the major car company’s credit arm are for mostly new cars since they already made their money off the sale of the vehicle when it was new.

Question by YANKEE: What happen if most of the students choose Business as their major?
My country is still poor and people are not happy and satisfy with the way they are living now. So most of highschool students like me want to become a rich business man or woman rather than other jobs without no clear reason or clear vision. So over 40% of the the students choose Business as their major every year. So what will happen?
Best answer:
Answer by Radioactive
It’s happening in the US aslo (perhaps not 40%).
They are not choosing degrees that are highly in demand that involve medicine, science, computers, engineering, etc.
Therefore business graduates are getting out of college and not finding jobs.

Am I required to state both my cumulative and major gpa on my resume?

Question by garble007: Am I required to state both my cumulative and major gpa on my resume?
A job I’m applying for mentions a required gpa of 3.0. I don’t know how to interpret this, whether it is overall or major. My overall (3.2) is a lot higher than my major gpa (2.8), is it deceiving if I only list my overall gpa on my resume? Also, when a company lists required gpa of 3.0, does this mean overall or major gpa? Thanks!

What are the differences between the 3 major credit companies Equifax, Transunion and Experian?
Posted by PuneStuff in Pune Stuff Questions & Answers on December 3rd, 2011
Question by JAG: What are the differences between the 3 major credit companies Equifax, Transunion and Experian?
Do different credit inquires look at a specific credit company or they look at all three to determine your score. Why are there minor differences between the three reports one has my gas company account and the other two don’t.
Ex. 6 years ago I took a car loan, when they check my credit they told me I had child support which it was not true. I checked my credit report from one of the credit companies (because I did not know there were three) and It was not there so I figured it was a mistake since my dad had they same name as I do and he was paying child support. 5 years later I came to realize that it was on my Transunion report so I took the necesary steps to take it out. Why is this?
Best answer:
Answer by JAMES P
like any kind of business there is always competition, they use different systems too rate your score but most companies that give credit will only use 1 credit history company, experian and equifax are the most popular, thats all i can tell you about that!!!
