I only feed Poochy dry food. I shouldn’t say only because occasionally I’ll treat her to wet canned food. I have a bowl that fits about 21/2 cups of food. I will fill the bowl every other day. To me this doesn’t seem like much, but I could be wrong. She’s an indoor cat so there’s only so much exercise she gets. Most of her time is spent lounging around…on her back of course.

take her to the vet first. she might have a thyroid disorder. try r/d science diet rx food or science diet light. both are made to help cats lose weight. but take it to the vet to make sure it isnt a health issue.
