When forex trading companies can be in almost any country, and you’re really talking about exchanging one currency for another, you should assume that the regulation is minimal or nonexistent.

Look for a reputable company, such as a large bank or another financial institution that does extensive business, to avoid “fly by night” operators. Look for ones that may be registered with securities exchanges, or have other things at stake in maintaining their reputation.

No matter who you’re dealing with, you can get competitive exchange rate information at:
www.oanda.com
I used to use it often when travelling overseas and needing to convert multiple currencies for personal/business use.

But, Oanda is also a leading forex dealer, according to their web site. You can read about the company here:

http://www.oanda.com/site/oanda/com_index.shtml

At the web site, they also offer forex trading educational material. In the links I’ve added to this message, one is their page for forex trading, and the second is the company history and information.

I’m sure there are dozens, if not hundreds, of other reliable firms, and I think you can find a few that are reputable and financially solid, to make your selection.

Which companies are legitimate for mystery shopping?

Question by SolarRain: Which companies are legitimate for mystery shopping?
My mom is a mystery shopper, but we do not know the name of her company. Her company was definitely legitimate. We do not want to get into a scam, so which companies are legit?

Best answer:

Answer by imisidro
I suggest you go to the National Mystery Shopping Providers Association (MSPA) http://www.mysteryshop.org , an organization of mystery shopping companies. This is the organization that you can TRUST in this field

Check out their listing of shopping assignments by country and by state from member companies. Companies are accepted as members of the association only if they have been in existence for two years and they can submit proof of business existence. Make a list of these companies and check out their requirements to be a mystery shopper.

The MSPA North America has a job board listing available mystery shoppers position

http://www.jobslinger.com/mspa/exec/sfs/jobboard

If in doubt, double-check the company with the local Better Business Bureau http://www.bbb.org , usually under the Service Intelligence category. Find out if any complaints have been lodged with the mystery shopping company, before agreeing to do work for them.

Without paying crazy fees, where can I find legitimate drop-ship companies for doing Ebay selling?

Question by raring2go: Without paying crazy fees, where can I find legitimate drop-ship companies for doing Ebay selling?
I have been the route of going to websites promising lots of company lists, and all you get is bad information and nothing for the money that you spend. I truly want to find companies I can buy at discount prices or have them drop-ship their mechandise after I post it on Ebay. Please, only serious, legitimate information as I am not spending any more money on false information. The information should be out there for free somewhere!!

Are there any legitimate companies, which perform criminal background checks on prospective employees?

Question by Brad: Are there any legitimate companies, which perform criminal background checks on prospective employees?
I want to hire someone to clean my mother’s house, without worrying that they have a criminal background. There are hundreds (if not thousands) of web-based services that supposedly do this, but it appears most of them are scams. I know that large companies can have background checks done on prospective employees. Who do they use? Are there any HR professionals out there, who can give me some suggestions? Thanks in advance!

Best answer:

Answer by Sandy S
I understand your concern. I highly recommend using beenverified.com to run a background check on this person. I have used this service many times and its very easy to use and affordable.
