The opening starts with the introduction of a genius. At 17, Tae Woong (Hyeon Bin) meets two people who will later become people he loves. The guy he meets is Kim Jeong Kyu (Lee Sun Ho) also classified as a genius, and though at first they did not get along, they soon set aside their differences and became best friends. Tae Woong also meets a little girl being bullied by older girls for her money and saves her. The girl develops a crush on him and gives him her beeper for future contact. Later on, Tae Woong and Jeong Kyu both enter an international math Olympiad, but when Tae Woong wins, Jeong Kyu commits suicide. The following tragic events soon took its toll on the rest of Tae Woong’s life, and forgets about ever set a date to meet the little girl. Then, for 8 years he struggled to carry on with his life. At 25, Tae Woong is now a third class boxer and in unexpected events finds Bo Ra (Sung Yu-Ri), the little girl he once knew. The tale continues into the world of the cold-hearted Bo Ra and it is only Tae Woong that could possibly melt her heart…

Kim Joo-Won (Hyun-Bin) is from a wealthy family, smart and good looking. He runs the luxurious Roel Department store, which his family owns. Oska (Yoon Sang-Hyun) is a popular singer around Asia, but he doesn’t have musical talent. He is also a womanizer. Joo-Won and Oska are also cousins and highly competitive towards each other. On a request by Oska, Joo-Won goes to pick up actress Park Chae-Rin from a shooting set. Joo-Won mistakes stunt woman Gil Ra-Im (Ha Ji-Won) for Park Chae-Rin and takes stunt woman Ra-Im to a hotel. Oska made the request in an attempt to prevent Park Chae-Rin from revealing their relationship to the press. At the hotel, Joo-Won discovers that the woman he picked is not actress Park Chae-Rim but a stunt woman. During this time, Joo-Won starts to experience strong feelings for the feisty stunt woman, even though she isn’t his type. Joo-Won tried getting Ra-Im out of his mind for Ra-Im does not own a high status life nor is even rich. Nevertheless, Joo-Won can’t stop thinking about Ra-Im. Their forces included 274 T-34-85 tanks, some 150 Yak fighters, 110 attack bombers, 200 artillery pieces, 78 Yak trainers, and 35 reconnaissance aircraft. In addition to the invasion force, the North Korean KPA had 114 fighters, 78 bombers, 105 T-34-85 tanks, and some 30000 soldiers stationed in reserve in North Korea. Although each navy consisted of only several small warships, the North Korean and South Korean navies fought in the war as sea-borne artillery for their in-country armies. In contrast, the ROK Army defenders were vastly unprepared, and the political establishment in the south, while well aware of the threat to the north, were unable to convince American administrators of the reality of the threat. In South to the Naktong, North to the Yalu (1961), RE Appleman reports the ROK forces’ low combat readiness as of 25 June 1950. The ROK Army had 98000 soldiers (65000 combat, 33000 support), no tanks (they had been requested from the US military, but requests were denied), and a 22–piece air force comprising 12 liaison-type and 10 AT6 advanced-trainer airplanes.
