i m graduate working in export company from last 3 years..now i want to join bpo in delhi …. i hav no knowledge about bpo or call centres…how much salary would i get as a fresher with not so good speaker of english..plz tell me living expenses in delhi for 1 person? if there is any other option plz advice…. i wll be thankful to you all,,,,

i worked in a leading bpo company…thy gto me in bcos my english was good now it depends on your luck too if your gettin selected iinspite of you ‘not too good english skills’..but ur starting salary might anywhre between 10k-12k… so jus read some english books so tat u ucan work on ur language also watch some english movies…u wil also undergo voice and accent training as a part of the procedure so attend the interview first and if u get selected jus move on…

I am B.Tech(electronics & communication)done in 2005.Since then working with BPO as no company takes fresher, even small electronics and communication companies don’t take freshers, every one wants experienced people. Tell me if no company will give job to freshers then how can we get experience? and also if by luck i get chance to have interview in electronics company then they say that as u have got bpo exp so there is no place for u. becoz they are paing u a lot and we can’t afford it, and this point of time no rebuttles work out even if I say “No I am ready to do as per ur norms”. But answer is “NO”.

well… Its really difficult to move to a development company with a BPO experience.
All you can do is do some advanced course in your field..Embedded systems could be an option. C-DAC organises such courses and they also provide placements.

i have completed my MCA in october 2005. first look at my marks from 10th to MCA 10th class 45%, 12th class 57% , BCA 67% and MCA 68%. this is my marks from 10th onwards. because i am not eligible for top MNC. what shoult i do to get a software developer job as a frehser. if any company is giving me tranining i can adopt my self to any condition. please suggest me.

I’m assuming that by ‘fresher’ you mean freshman in college. As a manager at a software company, I can tell you that in my experience, we hire interns/co-ops based on recommendations from colleges. I have contacts at all nearby colleges, and we frequently review the best students as candidates for our intern/co-op programs. We usually only tend to hire from the Junior or Senior level, since they have the most experience, the professors know them well, and they’ve proven themselves.
My advice to you…Get in good with some of your professors at college. Find the professors that still have contact with the outside world. If there’s a tech company that has a dominant role in your school (ie supplying hardware, hosting seminars, etc), then try to get involved in something that will allow contact with individuals from that tech company.
It’s really just a matter of networking. Make yourself known, prove yourself, and show that you love what you do. Companies will be knocking on your door in no time.

I have done my MS in Advance Software Technology with specialization in SAP-ABAP from I2IT -Pune. I have to do my main project nxt month but till now i hadnt got any project in SAP but i have 2 other projects in hand .One is in RAMCOs ERP and other in Business Intelligence using Informatica and Business Objects . In future i want to be in SAP .What are the chances of my future in SAP also I want to know the chances of freshers in Business Intelligence .

You appear to be an SAP wizard. There are many companies out there who have been sold SAP, but now need user friendly support. I think that you could either start your own support firm or go to work for one of the larger firms that provide this kind of support. I believe that SAP has a growing presence and a good future ahead.
