If you’re looking for “label” templates, create your own using Word or Wordperfect Label Maker. Otherwise, if you’re looking for “packaging/wrappers” to wrap and seal the product you’ll have to find a local packaging company to box or wrap your products, which can be pricey, unless you order in bulk.

I work for a car audio distributing company and we have weekly specials. Currently im using Microsoft PowerPoint to create the flyer. I want to create something more creative but with PowerPoint I can only do so much. Any Ideas on what Program/Software will do better? HELP!

If you do not have any experience in running a business buy the dummies book for it. I can already assume you know a lot about software. I know a little bit about software. One thing I know is that it takes a lot of legal work to run any business. You have to be able to sustain yourself for 6 months if you business made 0 income. this is a protection barrier. many businesses fail because they don’t have this protection barrier. I think you need to talk to someone in your credit union (if not in one get in one). You need to consult a Professional Business manager. I am an economist, Professional trader, and webmaster.

I’m creating a database for music in MySQL , I have 2 tables so far.
{* = primary key}
One table is Artist, which consists of the (Artist Name*, Num of Albums)
My second table is Albums which has (Album Name*, Num of Tracks, Artist Name, Genre, Record Company, Year Released)
I want to create another table which has the tracks for the Albums individually, however it seems I’m going to have a lot of redundant data, which I want least as possible. I want to know if my structure could use some tuning or if I need to restructure it from scratch.

Peronally I would do something like this:
Artist: Artist_PK, Arist_Name, … any personal data you want
You don’t need Number of Albums since this can be computed with a simple query.
Album: Album_PK, Artist_FK, Album_Genre, Album_Record, etc.
Where Artist_FK is a foreign key reference to the the Artist table.
Tracks: Tracks_PK, Album_FK, Track1, Track2, etc.
Again, Album_FK is a foreign key reference to the album.
This way all tables are links with foreign keys and you limit redundant data.

The application that I am developing currently uses the State of our customer to determine what time zone they are in. This works 90% of the time, but there are States that cross time zones .
I’d like to make a Zip Code to Time Zone lookup table, but it seems as though you can’t get this for free. Offers online start at around $ 100, which I’m not willing to pay for and gives me a lot of information I do not need. Where do these companies get this information? I can’t believe this information isn’t available in some form somewhere.
I could abuse one of those zip code lookup sites, but I’m sure they would catch on to me after sending a couple thousand requests.

They get the information by typing it into a computer. They want money because their time is worth something.
You’re pretty cheap to not want to pay $ 100 for that info, since you certainly can’t replicate it yourself and you presumably are charging your customers for your services. Grow up and pony up.

Question by chill eff: Any ideas for creating a website for a database?
I run an access database full of Programs and Performers. The database is currently available for viewing on my works intranet using cold fusion. However, I’m trying to convert the website to Frontpage (as it’s the only other thing we have available to us) and I’m looking for help on putting access into frontpage. I know a lot of basic HTML knowledge but not a whole lot about SQL or Access. We want the staff to be able to search the database through the website in a query sort of way.
For instance: a ‘music’ related program for ‘teens’ or an ‘author’ program for ‘adults’ about ‘black history’.
We’ve read through mastering frontpage books and haven’t found any real help with frontpage and databases.
Are there any websites where I could get any help or Ideas to accomplish this? Book suggestions? Maybe even other program suggestions (though mind you my company does not have a lot of money or up-to-date equipment…we’re government!) Thanks.
We have a website already and we’re using .ASP.
Basically I’m asking for help on where I can go to get ideas more so than what I can use because most of that we kind of already know.
It’s on our intranet and it’s on access 2002. It can’t be used ‘as-is’ because we just want them to be able to view the information and not just edit the information.
I had hopes to actually find websites online with information from a database for ideas, but I’ve come up empty on that too.
Also… we’ve already got the database connected to Frontpage.
I don’t need webservers or how to connect the database. I need more… how to create the actual pages.. if that makes any sense to anyone besides my own head.

I dont know much about ColdFusion but, Why cant you put the database up on a website as is?
I would look into either PHP and MySql.
Or Asp.net
