go to the rail station with your bike & its necessary documents. .
go to the parcel counter there, register with the clerk & check for train availability & pay the cash.
you will have to carry a protective gunny bag to cover your bike in ‘cos the railways are not responsible for scratches that may arise during the transfer !

i recently bought a honda cbf stunner (125cc bike), and was wondering if it could be used for touring purposes. i’m planning to cover a distance of 900km (bangalore-pune). the bike’s pretty comfortable for long hauls, but my only concern is whether a 125 cc bike can cover such distances without breakin down or not… i wouldn’t wanna be stranded in the middle of nowhere… some advice…? preferably from people who’ve had experience with touring… thanks

You bought the wrong bike for touring. You would need more like a 250cc or higher 2 stroke engine bike or a 500cc or higher 4 stroke engine bike. A 125cc 2 stroke motorcycle max top end with stock gearing is probably 75 mph but you would not want to ride it at max speed for more than handful of minutes or you will wear down your engine real fast.

You would prefer the bike that you like best. Isn’t that the definition of “prefer?”
But really, we’re not going to know what kind of bike you want. It sounds like you would do well with a singlespeed commuter — sorry, I just think SS is great for commutes — but I don’t know you. Go to the local bike shop, explain what you just said, and ride a bunch of different bikes.

New Hero Honda Bike Caught testing!!!!

New Hero Honda Bike under testing. caught it during my trip from jaipur to delhi near Hero Honda’s Dharuhera Plant, near Bilaspur. The bike is awesome. It’ has rear disc Brakes, front of course, muscular body, more rider friendly seating position, digital speedometer, led tails lamps and indicators in the rear resemble to CBZ Xtreme, the capacity of the engine is not known by me, but by the size of bike i can say that it is either new 250 cc FI bike or maybe 300/350 cc Bike. The video was taken by me on 29/07/09. Most Probable launch of this bike will be during Diwali season. It’s for sure that the bike is under testing and this time Hero Honda is really going to shut the mouths of many in the market. Lets see what happens in future.
