Ashok Kamte, the additional commissioner of the Mumbai Police who was killed fighting terrorists during the Mumbai terror attacks, was honoured at St Stephen’s College in New Delhi. Kamte studied a Master’s degree in History in this college from 1985-87. So, for the alumni gathered here today, he is more than that. For some he is a senior, for some, a student and for others, a close friend.
