Question by : How should I set up a simple set of Accounts for a small import/export business in Singapore?
I just set up a small company in Singapore, doing import and export . I wish to set up a simple system of accounts, but have no idea how.
Any guidelines I should follow ? or should I just leave this to the accountant?

I think the best way to start is with IRAS website. The website has lot of info and perhaps that’s the easiest way. If you intend to use a PC or some software for accounting tracking even excel could be fine to start with

As of now there is no specific portal or organization which can get you job works for finance and accounts. Having said that to most people’s surprise there is no dearth of such jobs in the market. So essentially it boils down to networking. The more networked you are with the BPO community the better your chances are of getting such jobs . You can use the internet to your advantage to do that, try Google groups, Orkut, Yahoo groups, or even Ryze
