Who does one contact to find out about cleaning lease/rent/forclosed properties ???
Posted by PuneStuff in Pune Stuff Questions & Answers on April 26th, 2013
Question by mobileminiatures: Who does one contact to find out about cleaning lease/rent/forclosed properties ???
We are looking for information on how to get employment cleaning forclosed properties…We have been advised that real estate companies often hire persons to clean for them, and to haul off everything that was left behind when people either leave in the night or have to vacate the property for some reason. We have experiance, references, and a large box van to work with. Is there some official name for this position ( other than cleaning, of course ) ??? We live in mid-north Indiana, and would appreciate any information we can get from anyone who has either provided this service, or who hires people for these type positions. Thanks !

To find work in this area, prepare a flyer stating experience, etc., and send it to realtors and rental agents in your area. You will probably have to be bonded and you’ll have to find out how many days you must retain those possessions before they are legally yours.

Q&A: What can I do about a company selling my address to spammers?
Posted by PuneStuff in Pune Stuff Questions & Answers on April 9th, 2013
Question by cortex_disconnect: What can I do about a company selling my address to spammers?
I have a number of fake email addresses registered with a popular website, and recently all of them have started receiving almost identical spam. It’s obvious that the company is spamming me, sold their list of addresses to spammers, or something similar. Is there anything I can do about his? The messages don’t provide an opt-out or anything required by CAN-SPAM.

Answer by lucee
If they are fake email addresses, why do you care if the spammers flood them with messages? Isn’t that what they are for? And yes, ALL spammers sell their lists of proven addresses to other spammers. That’s how they all stay in business. And no, you don’t “opt out” because every time you do, you confirm that that email address is a real, live one. If that’s what you’ve been doing with the fake addresses, you got just what you aimed for, a ton of spam. At least it’s not directed to your main inbox yet.

Question by Bob C: What do you hate about your office job?
I am currently writing a scene in a fiction story where the main character is going through a typical day at his office job at a call center. I’m looking for ideas on how to show the soulless atmosphere people deal with at these type of jobs. To help, please let me know what you hate most about your job. I’m especially interested in the parts of the job that make you feel insignificant and depressed.

According to the book “The ABC’s of Writing Winning Business Plans: How to Prepare a Business Plan That Others Will Want to Read — and Invest In” http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/ASIN/0446694150/powerhomebizguid by Garrett Sutton, below are some tips to make a winning business plan that can get funding:
- Money follows management. Investors look first at the people involved in the company. If you are just starting out and don’t have relevant experience, investors expect to see that you have an experienced team of advisors and employees helping you in the business.
- Make sure you “sell” the one reason your business will become profitable.
- State clearly the strategies you will employ to get the word out about your business. Your business plan must show how you will leverage the Internet, public relations, viral marketing, and other strategies to attract customers.
- Present realistic estimates of the time, energy and costs of building a successful business. Do not underestimate or overestimate revenues. While investors know your numbers are simply guesses, they want to see that your numbers are within the “range of reality.” Be careful of your financial statements: this is one area where you can easily lose credibility if presented poorly.
- Benchmark similar companies to show that you’ve done your homework and researched the market.
- Your Executive Summary is your calling card. If it is not a winner, investors may not even read your entire plan. Emphasize your own as well as your team’s track record in the Executive Summary.
- Before sending your business plan to lenders and investors, send it out first to a few in order to get feedback. You’d want to correct your plan if someone tells you that you’re way off mark, rather than have a potential investor tell it to you and lose the chance to get the funding you need.

What is the best payroll software for a company with about 15 employees?
Posted by PuneStuff in Pune Stuff Questions & Answers on March 15th, 2013
Question by CGH: What is the best payroll software for a company with about 15 employees?
What is user friendly, can be used with duplicate business checks/stubs attached and a non computer expert like myself could learn fairly quickly? We are currently handwriting all payroll, it is a very time consuming task. I’m looking for a way to set up a simple system where I simply plug in the weekly info and the software does the calculating. It’s very important that I can use this program in conjunction with the specific type business duplicate/top stub attached checks we use. Any tips would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

Have you tried asking your local bank? I know Bank of America has online Payroll where you plug in the numbers and they do it for you.
