what reason could i tell my supervisor about my resignation?

Question by bj: what reason could i tell my supervisor about my resignation?
I got accepted for a job with a good career path in a multi-national company near my family. I am currently working far from them and the work that I do right now is very easy that it has actually been quite redundant but the bad thing is that there is no assurance for what is so called ” job security”. My supervisor has been very kind to me however, I really feel I need an acceptable reason for her not to feel bad about my resignation. Past employees of the company never tells this supervisor about the actual reason like ” career growth” of shift to another company because this company that I am currently in might call the other companies that you have applied to and try to do something to stop your application. It’s weird that they do that considering the fact that this company that I am affiliated with currently cannot offer job security coz it is a small BPO company on which clients come and go anytime..Is it alright to tell them that I would like to spend more time with my parents at the province?

Keep it short and sweet. Just say something like, “I’ve enjoyed the opportunities that you provided me here at XYZ company, but I have made the decision to move closer to my family.” I wouldn’t go into anything more than that.

What have you learned about working with disabled and elderly people in customer service?

Question by : What have you learned about working with disabled and elderly people in customer service?
*********I am getting my first customer service job soon.************ Not sure what to expect.

Best answer:

Answer by A.B
Expect people yelling, upset and bitching at you because you represent the company even though you can’t change anything. It’s a funny job to have you’ll leave each week with a funny story but you need to have patience. Elderly people have nothing but time on their hands so they can sit and let the issue thats bothering them to boil over into rage and you have to fix the problem. It’s a good job to have because it will make you appreciate easier jobs in the future.

Does anyone know about the Work from home call center position taking orders for pizza hut?

Question by tzebley: Does anyone know about the Work from home call center position taking orders for pizza hut?
I have a friend that is interested in working from home so she can watch her kids. I told her about the call center job taking orders for pizza hut but cant remember what the company/site was for it. If you can help, I would appreciate it.

Answer by mmcettack6
www.liveops.com all these work at home call centers you need a wired high speed internet it can’t be satellite it has to be dsl or cable. Also there are other at home call centers you can have her go to www.ratracerebellion.com it has more options. Liveops does not pay for training and other companies that are legit will pay for training a really great company to work for is Teletech you can go to www.hirepoint.com you do need to have experience, they pay approxiamately 10.00 an hour and you get hra benefits and you are an hourly employee some of the other at home call centers you are not hourly they pay you by the minute that you are on the phone with the customer so if you get no calls you don’t get paid. Also with kids you have to have a quiet background no background noises whatsoever my friend got fired from a job with west at home because they heard her sons fighting in the background. Remember there are legit at home jobs. Hope this helps

Question about short sales?

Question by morris: Question about short sales?
I have an offer in for a “pre-approved” short sale. Instead of signing off on the listed price which had supposedly been pre-approved by the bank, they are going out there to do a BPO. I’m assuming this is to see if they should go ahead with the pre-approved listing price, or counter-offer with a higher price.

If they do counter back, is this just a ploy by the bank to see how much I want the house and try to get as much money as possible from me, or would they be serious about not selling the house below the new price? I’m at $ 1,000 below my pre-approval loan letter. Should I counter back with my full pre-approved loan amount?

From the comps in the area, my realtor thinks they may raise the price by about $ 10k. Although I really like the house, and it’s perfect
for me, I’m afraid in a buyer’s market it would be hard to sell because it’s only a two-bedroom.

Please don’t tell me it’s worth whatever someone is willing to pay for it. I’m looking for inside info on how to deal with these banks that are trying to get money back that they never should have given in the first place. Thanks in advance!

Best answer:

Answer by lwp777
The banks are going to sell the property at market value and your lender is only going to loan you the amount of the appraisal, which is essentially market value. Sure you can offer the extra $ 1K but I doubt that will make much of a difference. Right now, a lot of bank owned properties and short sales are actually selling for above asking price because they are priced so aggressively.

Good luck with the purchase.
