Q&A: Pune or New Delhi India?

Question by Kate: Pune or New Delhi India?
My friend is planning on studying abroad in Pune, or New Delhi India but would like more information before committing so she asked me to post a question on here for her. Could anyone who has traveled to Pune & New Delhi tell me your impressions of the cities, especially in regard to students? Which city would you recommend for a university student and why? Also would there be any problems for an 20 yr old western white woman there by herself? Did you feel safe there?

She is considering Pune because it has a large student population and one of her possible study abroad programs goes there; she is considering New Delhi for the same reason (except it is much larger and has lower percentage of students).

Thanks for any help you can provide :)

Both the cities are good and safe. Both are westernised. But Pune is better option due to weather and institues. You can consider Bangalore and Chennai too

Chossing institute is better idea than chossing city for study.
