how to settle Crdit Card dues?

Hi friend,
i hav got ICICI bank credit card, n from last 6 months i hav not paid my dues, it’s climbing up day by day, coz 6 months before i lost my job, now i m job less n doing one PG diploma in mumbai. I was previously worked at Pune now i m shifted to mumbai. Bank’s officials kept me calling on my cell.At begning i told them that i will pay my all dues, but now i m not in position to pay till i get job & it will take me another 3 months to finish my PG diploma. I stopped answering calls from banks.
I only pray that i will pay all my dues but they should not contact my native place, to my mom & dad , they r not aware of this. At pune i stayed alone. My parents are living at our native place.
I m afraid that they will call or go to my native place coz while applying for CC, in form i had filled my native address.
PLEASE SUGGEST ME HOW SHOULD I NEGOTIATE WITH BANK & GET RID OF THIS.

My suggestion – get a job and pay what you owe. Not paying is called stealing.

Often at times although you owe companies money, they appreciate honesty. I have been through this myself and I too avoided the calls. But that only makes you look worse. Consider contacting them and explaining how embarrassed you where which is why you opted to ignore the calls. Let them know that you have every intention of paying it back, but this is your current situation. Ask them how you and them can work together to get through it. Is there anyway they can hold the high interest until you are working and you will notify them immediately and then they can increase the interest. Creditors are ALOT more understanding if they know you are being sincere with them and appreciate honesty. Or you can keep ignoring the calls until it goes against your credit rating. Better to call them and acknowledge the mistake.
