Honda Civic Expressway Mumbai Pune Top Speed

Took this video while driving down to lonavala on the mumbai pune expressway with my friends. The 1 screaming is Ishika Kapoor. Reached to 188kmph in 5th gear with 4 people in the car. Could have probably done better in 4th gear, but din’t wanna push it.

civics in India have less horse power than the ones in America. Indian civic has about 132 hp. the american civic has 140 hp. the SI model in america has 197 hp. its a 2.0 L. I think I saw a video on youtube reaching around 148 mph. which is around 240 kmh. dont know if it was stock tho. it sure looked like one.

we have speed limits but they haven’t been enforced well… plus the uneven roads are natural speed limiters…

115 mph on this road is crazy! Especially when everyone else is crawling and erratically changing lanes. But thankfully India has so much freedom that you can do what you want… unlike the 75mph speed limit on US highways!

Dude, that’s only 116mph. We just bought the new 2009 Civic Lx-s here in philadelphia, it fucking rocks. Don’t know if the indian ones are different in any way or not.

hell no! civics range from 1.3L over to 2.0L. and these hondas are used by common boyracers but obviously after a lot of engine mods. i’ve seen a 1.6L honda civic with a turbo bolted onto it doing quarter mile 14seconds! around 6 seconds 0 to 100. thats impressive.

dun blame de girls for gettin worried.. the expressway here is pretty uneven.. and the general traffic moves way too slowly.. so had to cut lanes like hell at the same speed..

1.8L, the engine is the same globally… they’ve done a lot of cost cutting in regards to suspension and interiors on the indian civic though.
