Question by i hate humanity, i love God: Hi please tell the reliability and loyalty of the small software companies?
Hi if any experienced software engineer can please resolve my doubt.
Iam a fresher in the software field and wanted to join the paid trainings in software provided by some small and middle sized companies…just dont know how reliable the companies are in what they offer and how worthy these courses actually are..
Please Guide…thnx for ur time

I’ve been a software engineer for over 20 years. Nearly all the ones I know became a SW engineer through a 4 year degree (Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer System Engineering) through an acredited university. In a few cases the person has a 4 year degree in math, physics, or electrical engineering.
I believe most of the small or medium size companies exist mostly to take your money. They may give you semi-valuable training to be a data center employee (to keep computers running – not to write new software products).
A legitimate company of this type should be able to tell you how many students they have graduated, what percent have been placed in jobs, how long placement usually takes, and most important, they should have references – people you can talk to that got jobs because of the training from that company. They should help place you in a job. They should have a list of companies that want people with the kind of training they offer, and you should be able to talk to those companies.
Many small, medium companies do not meet the minimum standard of helpfulness I’ve described here.
